God worked for five days and yet He was unsatisfied. He needed something to take dominion over the magic He worked on earth. Hence, He made man in His image, breathed His Spirit into him, thus making man a living being. Man at a point in his safest haven disobeyed God, leading him to hide and gradually disappear from God’s sight. There was distance. Walls of separation were built and others had to come to God on his behalf (still behind veils). The mediator, fixer of the broken relationship and restorer of life was sent to work things out for us. He agreed.Right from the moment Christ responded to this call were we chosen. He left His glory and descended on earth per the Father’s instructions. It was all for our sake.
Christ prayed at Getsemane when the hour was approaching.  He prayed if the cup of suffering could be taken over him however, the Father’s will should still prevail ( Mathew 26:38-42). The moment he prayed for the Father’s will for his drinking from the cup of suffering did He start shouldering our burdens, condemnations and sufferings. That was where the cross bearing story started manifesting:
Long suffering: He weighed it all alone without giving Pilate a share of the pain. He endured from Getsemane through Golgota and to the grave and back. He painstakingly fought for us.
Eternal cause : He did it for the Father. God wanted us back on His side; to live in Him and someday share in the inheritance of His kingdom. This love shown us is the greatest with everlasting benefits.
Obedience: He loved us as the Father did. And so as a sign of Obedience, we must love as he first loved us.
The moment you profess with your mouth the conviction of your heart that Christ died and was raised from death, you become a new creature in God. He takes dominion over your entire being( Galatians 2:20). You no longer live but He does. You are connected to Him and the relationship becomes intimate. There’s no one going in your stead. The interaction becomes personal – face-to-face. And as He lives in you, you must emulate Him while preaching Him in words and in actions. It would be no easy feat but you should endure the long suffering. You must go against all odds in painstakingly loving others just as He did.
We love because He first loved us ( 1 John 4:19). By so doing, you are proving your total reverence to the two greatest commandments (Matthew 22:36-40).
God bless you.
As always, Jesus loves you.
