A reminder to the Church:

It is June brethren! The Lord’s undying love and ceaseless mercy have brought us this far! We are grateful. I am much more grateful. Let’s all believers endeavor to use this abounding grace to keep on testifying to the good news. Today we are looking at how far we have worked out our salvation in order to receive the heavenly prize should Christ come again in His glory anytime soon. It is all about our readiness be it now or at the Lord’s apportioned time.

“When he had led them out of the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven”. Luke 24: 50 – 51.

This is the indication of the fulfilment of a worthy divine course for God and to mankind. He said it was finished but the audience had no idea what he was talking about until the stone was rolled, until the tomb was left with strips of linen  and until the holes in the hands and feet were not concealed to affirm that Christ had indeed fulfilled what he preached through the Holy Spirit for all men to believe and testify.

We are all God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do the good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do, Ephesians 2:10. We all have tasks to do here on God’s green earth. The Savior fought the good fight and won victory for us all. He led the exemplary life for us. He was ready for ascension because all that was prophesied was fulfilled. He was ready to go back to the Father. How about you, are you ready?

We do not know when we are going to breathe our individual last breaths and neither do we know the day of the long preached second coming of the King. And should either of them come your way right now, what would be your fate in eternity? You should be able to stand before the Father for your crown of glory. Your purpose in 24 hours every day should be geared towards the “well done” on the great day up there. That is exactly what Paul pressed on. That prize cannot be received here on earth and neither can it be worked for up there in heaven.  What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done(on earth), Matthew 16:26-27.

How are you running the race? How are you fighting the good fight? I guess you are working tirelessly for the heavenly prize. You should be ready at all times. Curb the postponement of faith and of righteousness for the worldly pleasures just because the grace abounds. Keep pressing towards your eligibility for the prize. Contrariwise to that, the Son of Man will ask you to depart from his sight because he may not know you.

You do not know when you would breathe your last breath and neither do you know when the trumpet would be blown, hence, it’s time to repent. The Father awaits your good account on your earthly stay. And so if you are reading this, it’s never too late to give your life to Christ and neither are the stains of the past life highly irremovable by the precious blood of Jesus. And if you are lukewarm, it’s high time you increased the temperature. And finally, to those in their tracks, keep running  to win the race.

Repent, Christ is coming again.

As always, Jesus loves you dearly.
